A great start to 2018

It’s been quite an exciting and action-packed start to 2018 for me, so much so I’d like to share this with my network.

I recently welcomed a new granddaughter (my third) and on 26th January I was recognised as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for significant service to engineering, particularly through creating sustainable infrastructure for cities and communities.  

When asked how I felt about this recognition, I would say that it is a great honour, but one that is coupled with the realisation that any recognition of me is indeed recognition of the work of many others with whom I have worked over many years. 

Being awarded a Member of the Order of Australia is most certainly an encouragement to continue my activities in pursuing what is often a difficult goal in a challenging environment.
